Blue Sword Cover

I need help. I have no issue sewing the basic length of the cover, but I want to be able to do a drawstring end. No tape, so can anyone with more sewing experience give some aid? (I'm using a sewing machine)

Simple yet super effective...

Before you sew the cover just cut a piece of string that is 2-3 inches longer then the width of your cover. Flip the fabric over, put the string on the end and fold the fabric over it.... then sew.

Then just go about sewing your cover as normal...

Putting the string in first makes it mega easy later. All you will have to do is tie it... if you try to add the string later it can be a pain to sew. OR if you try to sew the loop then thread the string through it later can also be a mega pain... draw string first then cover...

Tying a safety pin to the end of the drawstring makes it easy easy to thread through a casing after sewing. Especially for something as small as a sword cover. And then you don't have to worry about catching the drawstring in the stitching.
