Patchwork sword covers?
How would people feel about patchwork sword covers? I have all these scraps different colors same material (broadcloth) and 'em thinking of sewing it all into a big mess of colors and from there making it into several covers. Would this be against rules, or a problem in general, if I am able to pull it off?
And now for something completely different. Does anyone have spare plywood? Was going to buy some today for shields and discovered that we can't fit a piece in/on our car So I'm stuck until we find someone with a truck, or someone willing to sell (or give ) some plywood to me. Got any suggestions or help, would be most appreciated.

Re: Patchwork sword covers?
As long as the fabric scraps don't consist of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or other "non-period" things people probably won't freak out.

Re: Patchwork sword covers?
muhdurin is spot on.
why would you want your pretend sword to look even less like a real sword, though? if you're gonna do all that crazy work for patchworking, why not make a vest or skirt or pants, they look pretty cool for dagorhir garb.
but hey, to each their own.

Re: Patchwork sword covers?
Because when your character is insane, it works.
Also I am dirt poor, and have little to no full sheets of fabric and have several swords that want real covers, and not socks. I'm racist against socks on my swords. Though i do see your point. I may just have to suck it up and wait for money then make covers. Damn socks.
