Barbel Fishing

Here's Izzacks personal best Barbel!

I can't remember the exact size but it was over 9lb

Thanks for the help Murf,
what was wrong, I didn't really have time to check, after Darren said that it wasn't showing up I got kicked off the PC.
I'm gonna put my foot down more from now on!

A ten pounder or a doeble next season isn't it Izzack?
but having said that it's just nice to catch "A" Barbel.

I just enjoy my fishing If the fish caught is a pb then great if not it dpesnt matter.

That's what I like to hear, six in a day is also good and what fun we had.
Anyone would have thought that we were carp fishing with the ferocity of those runs wouldn't they?
I'm trying to organise something for the coming weekends (gotta give that new rod a workout)LOL
This time my friend you won't have to supply the bait or drill pellets or anything like that now I know how to go about it I'll do it all myself, Just enjoy your fishing.LOL
I've even bought a new landing net for Barbel (olive green) made by Drennan 22" by 22" and it is recomended for chub they even say that chub think it is weed and will lunge into it, (lets hope the Barbel have the same idea)lol
Also that there are plenty of them.
PS I've now got loads of pike tackle for the winter, so hopefully I will be going down the wye in search of the 25lb fish that I spoke of earlier this season.

Barbel fishing

I've just been reading this and although Izzack is our resident proffessional Barbel fisherman, (i'd like to know what you think Izzack) but I think this bloke seems to know what he's talking about. I enjoyed reading it and as the price of fishing press seems to be going up and up in price, if I can I'll try to add different articles each week. (who knows we might even learn something?)
