Doh,

I've just been browsing again.
Here's a link to the barbel playground, it includes a forum where anybody can post about Barbel, you can also view other peoples photo albums (something that I love to do) including the recent record fish caught in the Great ouse.

I've found this and it is excellent for finding out about places to fish, just type in where you would like to go fishing and Bobs your uncle.

I think thats an old article By Graham. He now fishes the River Dove and seems to have given up on the Severn.

One thing I did forget to mention was that the barbel taken on that weekend were taken on boilies. Home made anchovy boilies as per a recipe I gave earlier this year.

Oh great,
Mattie rushes off to the fishing shop to buy pellets, following our recent success on the severn with them and I could have just made do with some home made anchovy boilies.

It's ok before you say (but the pellets are what's fishing best on that stretch at the moment) I know! I was only joking.LOL

Do you think that if we were to return to Atcham again that we could have just as good a day as before or do you think that they will have gone off their feed abit by now?Also I meant to ask you if you knew Graham, who wrote the article, and where does the dove run?

A few clues though a smallish bait, a very very popular bait, naturally creamy white in colour but can be purchased in various colours. A bait that will catch any fish swimming in freshwater (UK)

lentils are a good particle for feeding rather than on the hook but must be soaked and boiled first.
