FantasyChicken, like mattie said the pools are all clustered together and linked via the same watercourse (if i remember correctly mattie?!) My fav to fish is the bottom pool, but the only problem being i feel scared down there on my own, lol, it always seems really dark, even on a sunny day!

Kev,

I think you'll find that you've been reading to many Horror books!
Try reading Chris Yates books, "some of which include encounters with ghosts" (so he says)but they are a fantastic read, especially Casting At The Sun, if you are lucky enough to have a copy.

I see where you are coming from with your feelings about the bottom pool,I sometimes get an eary feeling when I'm fishing down there on my own,I aint easily scared either as I've been fishing alone for years. So perhaps their is something behind all of this. Maybe there is something behind all of this,"phone for that team of ghost-hunters from on the TV Quick.

FantasyChicken,

It's just that because the bottom pool is completely secluded and surrounded with trees, then as you would expect it is dark. From where we fish, you have your back to the field and I don't know about Kev, but I constantly find myself looking over my shoulder to see if anything is behind me,the field is the way that everybody has to approach the pool so that is probably the reason for it,but you always feel the urge to look and see who is behind you, like your sixth sense but you do feel as though someone or something is watching you.

personally mattie i find that the blackness of the pool is the thing that scares me the most...it is like the water is never-ending, or is hiding something from us (weird1212)

FantasyChicken,

I'm not easily scared, I was brought up in the countryside and I am used to being out in the dark. The thing is there are never any people around there at nights, they are left in the towns where they belong and so I never really worry about anything happening to me.So yes I fish a lot after dark!

Fish seem to feed more openly in the darker hours, they don't seem to see your bait so easily, cannot see the line and hardly ever play about with the bait like they do in the daylight.

Re: Farm Photos

FantasyChicken,

No Carp aren't nocturnal but if you are from a hot place then they will more often than not have their own feeding rituals and times.normally they will get too hot in the sun and this will put them off of their feed, so because of this they will wait until the sun goes down or they will feed in the mornings when the sun is still on its way up and before it has had chance to heat up the water. However after saying this they can still be tempted by surface baits sometimes such as bread, dog biscuits or flies as long as it isn't too hot.
