Hello, writers! I'm looking forward to reading your work.
I'm not a poet, but have written a few poems that I have liked well enough to share. One poem I've been working on for several years; re-write it every time I read it. Someday, when I don't re-write it, maybe it will be finished.
Short stories are my favorite, though lately the spirit hasn't moved me to write one. I'm currently reseaching ancient Egypt so I can write a story that will help me understand the culture and enhance a trip to Egypt which is on my "bucket list". Egypt has fascinated me since high school when I read about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. Okay, it was the curse that drew me.
I get more practice with essays because I enjoy a good political discussion, and family history has recently become a passion of mine.
