About Your Current Writing Project?
I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can talk about our latest writing projects. If you are writing a story give us an update or maybe tell us how you are getting on. Are you at a lull in the story and are you finding it hard to carry on? The dreaded writers block? Plot unravelling too fast, getting lost, or is swimming along? Short story long story? Character difficulties? Anything regarding any writing project.

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?
Well for me I’m currently working on a diary concept. It’s never going to be published. Who would want to read about a middle-aged writer fishing and suffering unbearable stress from his kids? I’m mainly writing it for myself and in the long term for my son, it would be, hopefully, good for him to read about his old mans life. What I got up to, how I coped. Not the norm but it keeps my writing juices flowing.
At the moment it’s easy to write. I do it daily, piece by piece but it’s slowly building into a big diary of my life. And if I have a day where I do nothing. Well the diary will have a blank page. Nothing wrong with that. Everybody has days in their life where nothing of any importance happens.

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?
Fantastic Topic. My current story is a longer one, after a few attempts at the shorter style stories I’ve decided to resume the full length one. It is a very complex crime/mystery novel, although it’s not an attempt at a “Sherlock Holmes” or “Murder She Wrote” style book it’s more in the mould of a Dan Brown novel, obviously reading his books had a massive influence on me starting this type of book which, judging from my early exploits, is a fun genre to write in.
I’ve got three interweaving storylines and I’m trying to tackle similar human traits from three different angles, the characters have been fun to create and I’m now in the process of developing them and the plots in a concurrent manor. I’m skipping from scene to scene (an idea picked up from Angels and Demons) within each chapter, brief, but hopefully not too brief, parts then onto the next. I’m about halfway through the initial writing of the story and it’s taking lots of work and an incredible amount of research, which is great fun. I’ll keep you all informed of how I progress with this project.

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?
Right now I have two projects going... I guess you can call them fanfictions, but I don't really see them as such...
The first one, 'Think of Me' is about a Swedish girl going to Scotland. She has AIDS and not much time left to live in, according to her doctor. But in Scotland she meets this guy and falls in love. I'm trying to describe what she's going through along from she comes to Scotland, till she dies in the end of the story.
The second, which I haven't given a name yet, is a sequel to a fanfic I wrote about Orlando Bloom (1-2 years ago, called Between Life and Death). Without giving away too much, I can say that it has some things in common with 'Think of Me'...
I'm kinda going through a writer's block with the second one, haven't come too far in it and it's 6 months since I started it... I might have written about 11 chapters, 5 in the beginning and 5-6 in different places of the story. I have the plot ready and the main line of events, it's just to write it down that's tough... The first one I've almost finished, and when I have, I'll post it here... But I have trouble getting the right ending, and the few chapters leading up to it...
But they're both going, more or less, so hopefully someday I'll be able to post them both here, and other places...

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?
Yours all sound very interesting. I've had that same thing happen to me Gauntmommy. It is really irritating.
Well, as of now I am working on what is hopefully going to be a novel. No title yet. It is about 3 different kids who each run away from home for various reasons and end up in Chicago, IL. There they meet each other and discover things about their own personalities and such.
Other than that I have been writing a lot of poetry lately.
