I look forward to reading that Mark.

How far along are you?

Only about two and a half pages but working on it. I have also got a friend in Edinburugh who is writing a similar story. I've pointed him in the direction of this forum and he said he would check it out.

Yeah same here, done a lot of major research, vital however, and am still on about chapter4, now some real fun starts though, i've probably got enough to push on with the plot/character development, write a few test chapters see where i go with both...

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?

I thought I would try my hand at writing a horror story of sorts I got the idea from one of the exercises on this site. It is the horrorscope exercise. I got stuck on the character development a bit. However, I figured it out a bit more, I am going to try and get it done before Halloween and submitt it to a few places.

Also my new column has been a blessed ongoing project promising steady work, albiet unpaid, but work never the less.

I also have a website to manage that is giving me an ongoing project as well.

Sometimes a good thing Mark. I suppose if you know your topic well enough you can get away with it.

I'm practically re-writing mine. I thought the time passed far too quickly.

Re: About Your Current Writing Project?

I've been jumping between on project and another.

Catagonia...I've created an entire cat planet, outlined, history/genisis, different societies within, religion, maps, etc. This is my most 'planned' bit of writing. I have several chapters hand written, and then suddenly set it aside.

Desert Rose...is set in the desert, a coming of age story about the main character, Zoe, who is about to discover a 'gift' she has inherited. About to start chapter 15.

The Smokin' Cat...is about a young woman who doesn't fit in anywhere, a loner by choice & circumstance. She's bought a small cottage in the woods, and discovers that it was once owned by her MIA mother. She is also discovers a somewhat magical smoking cat that is part of her unknown family heritage. I haven't divided this one into chapters yet, so no idea where the heck I am as far as progress.

The Shadow...is my attempt at a horror story, no cats involved this time! But it is a tale I wanted to develop online to have other writers add to the story, creating a character or two. I would, of course, be maintaining the plot of the story, leading others' characters into different directions. I've recently placed it on my new forum (which so far has had only two people take a peek at).

Anyway, those are the ones I am currently working on. I have a couple of others I've also started but have yet to return to, so they sit on the backburner, waiting.
