Re: The Perfect Romance....???
You know, Z, I was about to start a topic myself about this, because I saw it was so empty here the other day, but I didn't have the time then. Now I do, so I'll just reply on your post! ;)
I like romances, like Z, where you get to know the characters, but not too much actually. I like mystic, especially about characters!
What I like more, is going behind the person, and learn what they think and what they feel. Discussion or thoughts going on in their minds, which will lead to how they act or how they feel. And that is what I try to focus on in my romance story/fanfic, which I will post when it is finished.
In some strange way, I have grounded a special love to stories, which don't end happy. Where one of the parts die, or something interferes their love, so that they can't stay together. I don't know, I often think that romances are so much more beautiful when it is unhappy in that way.
Well, that was my thoughts around that subject!

Re: The Perfect Romance....???
To be honest i’ve not really read many romance novels, the odd non-fiction that contains a love sub-plot maybe, but not your outright Mills and Boon sob story. But i have to agree in principle with what you are saying, i suppose, as with any story, the Romance has to be believable as priority number 1, the characters need to seem as if they are real, and then subsequently should really make the chooses as they would in real life, normally the wrong one, lol.
