Enid Blyton

have just came across a book by Enid Blyton titled Pink Paint for a Pixie. It is only short it took me about 30 minutes to read. Has anybody else heard of Enid Blyton and what do you think of her writing?

The book is a children's book. It is written simply as most of these of short fairy tales are but it also starts to introduce descriptive writing as the book comes to a finish. I will now start too look out for more of her books they are very well written and interesting. Really for children but no harm in me reading them i think.

Re: Enid Blyton

i have heard of her but can't remember any of her books. I didn't get into reading and writing until an older age so i missed out on most fairytales and don't really see why i should go back now and start reading them when there is so much good adult literature to read.

I agree with Peter in a way. Don’t shun a book because it is written primarily for kids, older fairytales can offer your modern day writer some great tips and ideas, and are often quite good and very short to read.

Totally off topic for a moment but noticed my 6 year old nephew entranced by an Enid Blyton book yesterday.
