Mobile Phones – A curse really!
So here’s the deal, it’s 11pm, I’m tired, texting a certain Polish acquaintance that I will be meeting up with on Saturday night. So, the text looks something like this….
”Ah, that’s so sweet. I can’t wait to Saturday either, you're great fun too. Sweet dreams. x x x “
No problems so far, just your standard flirty text reply, however, I hit send, and disaster, the phone blinks…
”Sending – Blundz”
WHAT!? I scream, Blundz!? The guy I played football with only hours prior!? I hit every single button on the phone in a panic, trying to stop the message, finally the phone returns to the home screen, nothing…then…
”Message Sent
Noooooooooo! I resend the message to the aforementioned Polish girl. Then I wait. Minutes seemed like hours, the phone beeps.
”New Message”
I gulp…would it be Blundz...or Danka (polish girl!)!?
”Blundz”
Oh crap, what did I write? My mind was swimming, I hit “read”.
”Sweet dreams mate, I never knew you thought like that!!! :-p”
BOLLOCKS, how could this be? how did it happen? Then, another message…
”Blundz”
Weird! Surely not to rib me again so soon…Again I click “read”.
”Finally, I’ve been waiting five years for somebody to do that, I’ve done it, and it was just as funny when I done it as when you just done it! Embarrassing innit?”
Embarrassing!!?? Understatement of the century! Still don't know how it happened, it was one of those "curses" unexplainable, disastrous, but at the end of the day very funny. The phone beeps again,
"Blundz"
What! strange, what does he want now!?
"Just for the record, you take the battery out to stop it sending ;-)"
LMAO, a mind reader. Never again will i make that mistake, now i have a means of stopping those miss-sent messages. What's this, another new message!
"Danka"
I'm not going to write what the message said this time ;-)
**Based a actual events that occurred on the evening of the 1st of the 9th 2005!
