Seen Any Decent Films Lately?

Has anybody watched any decent films of late? I've just watched the Calcium Kid starring Orlando Bloom and i think Billy Piper! Really was a great story with loads of twists, might get me a copy on DVD sometime. Worth a watch or two.

harry potter is well done, though i wish i had seen more character developement with a few people. i heard from those that have read the book that a complete other plot is available in it that answers questions you might have from seeing it. still a ride though.

Ah right that is interesting. One thing i have noticed with Harry Potter is the lack of character depth, they are very monotonous.

i think it has to do with the amount of time a movie can run. a three hour movie is hard to copare to a 10-15 hour book. thats is part of the reason why i can never see both the movie and read the book. if i do, i end up hating the movie, regardless of the order.

Yeah that is true, the problem really didn't exist with the first two Book to Movie conversion as the books were a more "Movie" length, however once J.K.Rowling stared making the books longer, obviously the films had to cut much of the plot out, yet i think character development is vital and some action should/could have been cut to compensate.

house of flying daggers, hitch and monster in law Very good movies all three of them emoticon

House of flying daggers is a typical chinesse story the visual effects are wonderful!

Zhang Ziyi (Mei) the girl from the film did an outstanding job in the fighting sequences (and she doesn't train in martial arts! she's dancer in real life) The men from the film; the main characters that is did a terrific job especially Takeshi (Jin)

The stroryline is about a blind girl whose part of the flying daggers a group of rebels against the emperor and to whom Jin and Leo officers from the emperor's army follow to get to the secret hideout of the group but not everything look like it seems...

It's full of action and romance, I recommend this film!

And of course chronicles of narnia: the lion the witch and the wardrobe Beautiful film I loved it!
