Yob's and Chav's
I don't know about you guy's but I have some doubts about this "War On Terror".
I was speaking to several members of my community a couple of weeks ago ranging from the young to the elderly and almost all of them said exactly the same thing.
"They are more frightened of 'hoodies', 'yobs', 'chavs', 'youth gangs' etc than they are of any terrorists".
This is a serious problem on Britain's streets yet the government seems much more interested in events in the middle east than it does in events on their own doorstep.
I know that I'm going over old ground here as well as treading on eggshells but someone has too (in my honest opinion).
Al-Qaeda, for example, has very little effect in terms of terror in Britain. If anything the British public seem to be carrying on as normal. Very few people who weren't directly involved with 9/11 or 7/7 give the matter much more than centimental thought. Personally, I believe I owe it to their memory not to be afraid of terrorists.
That said, however, I often walk the streets at night and I only have to see a group of people and it makes my skin crawl....that's the difference.
The British Government need to wake up to the fact that they have problems here, not just abroad.
There we go, rant over :D :D :D LOL :D I'm interested in hearing from anyone with opinions (good or bad) on this subject so please do post replies.
Mark.
