Why I write...

When I write and Dear Watcher
When I write I feel free without boundaries as I let my imagination go to unseen hights. I have rediscovered writing in it's glory these past few days in finding new ways to energize my craft I am trying not to let my hand injury keep me from doing what I used to love. I don't know why I left writing in the first place it used to be the only thing in the whole world that I wanted to do. I used to write mini novels when I was a little kid. I remember writing somehting about being a doctor or some such thing. I don't feel so afraid in writing, what I do fear is someonw not liking my work, it sometimes makes me not want to take too seriously this talent that I have inside of me. It beckons to me and yet I hesitantly head it's call out of fear I am not good enough to be what I want to be.

Dear Watcher,

I am good enough to be what I want to be. I will head the call that still yells at me everyday to be the writer and not just a mom.

I will not feel afraid to write and I will not take too seriously those who may still criticize me.

I will continue to work everyday to find some new way to give my talent the kick in the pants I know it needs. I will not live with what if any longer.

Sincerely, My Inner child

i hope you do not mind if i put my little bit of writing in here this is why i write i would like your feedback.

To write in the dark does not mean you can not see your paper. To write in the dark does not mean you can not find your pen. To write in the dark does not mean you are blind. If you write in the dark you find paths which were hidden, they lead you to places you could not see. If you write in the dark you will uncover things. If you write in the dark you tone your senses. By writing in the dark I create light, I can see my paper, find my pen, I see. Alone I write, my paper is soon filled because in the dark and quiet I can think. My mind at work is a dangerous tool and when I have pen in hand this tool works wonders. Pen and mind unite as one. My stories are not the best. But I write for my enjoyment. I write to be free. When I write I have wings. They take me to places that are out of reach normally. To dizzy heights. I have wings, wings to take me to places full of light. I can be anything I want to be. I was writing in the dark, alone, in quiet. Now I’m touching stars.

Re: …

I like it, it shows a journey within yourself that you take in your approach to why you write. We all have different reasons for writing, but the most important thing I have noticed is that we must ultimately do it for our own enjoyment. If someone likes our writing or doesn't it is ok. If we enjoy it and it shows it will pay off in the end.
