compression ratio ?

Putting new heads on th 383. I am going to end up with about 9.6:1 CR with Fel-pro PT. Is it worth it to go with the mopar steel shim gaskets (.017) to gain a extra .5 CR? I heard they are likely to leak.

Steel shim gaskets can work great. Its best to have as smooth (and flat) a block and head surface as possible. A coating of copper coat works well also.
