April 24th and 25 at Maple Grove Info

Well, it looks like Jay is chomping at the bit but what about? Here are some things you might not know yet.

Open to all FAST and Pure Stock Muscle Cars

Friday the track will be a closed test and tune session.

This is a 2 day event with Qualifying on Friday and the main event on Saturday.

The track will open at 8 o'clock.

Tech will begin at 8 o'clock.

At 10 o'clock the first pair of cars will go down the track.

There will not be a break in the day for lunch as far as the track is concerned. We will race from 10 to 4.

We are expected to be out of there by 6 o'clock

Camping is permitted at the race track.

Track prep will be standard issue.

Fuel will be available probably for a limited time.

Spectator and or crew will cost 10 bucks each.

Saturday we will race with another class and for the most part Saturday will run like Friday.

Spectator and or crew will cost 15 bucks on Saturday.

And now for the entry fee.As you are all aware the money tree has been shaken pretty hard and it has been difficult to get third party help. This is a regional FAST race and it is up to us the racers to make this happen. While FAST has stepped up and committed to "helping out" this one might be a few bucks more than what we are used to.

So what we will do is,everyone that plans on racing get your name up on that list. The more names the cheaper it becomes.Once we hit the target a price will be hammered out and we will open up pre registration.I can tell you that without at least 30 cars this is not going to be cost effective. So if you plan on coming get your name up on that list.If you know someone that doesn't have internet access have them contact myself or FAST.

Lets make this happen guys emoticon

Andy, I was hoping this would be your first race too. This will be 6 hours of open test and tune time. For anyone with a new car that should have alot of value. That said at 20 cars the price would be 190 with 30 cars the price will be 155 for both days. You can see how attendence is important for all us.All of you should know that nobody but the track will make a dime from this race.

I wasnt worried about 40 bucks extra for a weekend of melted tires. but that Grappa stuff is expensive .
Ill trade some grappa for tires emoticon

Test and Tune for 6 Hours , I better bring spare tires
No Holidays in the way ,. hopefully good weather , hopefully everything comes together for me . The cars paint will be done by March 11th , And the cars already been together already once and stripped for paint . Should go together smoothly the second time round
Kframe look nice , it is significantly heavier than schumaker mounts .
Il leave at 4AM Friday and be there in time for all day test and tune ..

cant wait Hope I have the balls to keep my pedal to the floor through the traps , I might need the Grappa , i figure at least 150 more horse than Im acostomed to on egg shaped polyglas tires .. emoticon

Ahh. Missed this part.

I never been at the Grove and wanted to come out but things are a little tight this year and with trying not to ignore the family over the summer and still get a bit of racing in I'm going to have to pick and choose. Unfortunately this one would cost me the most $ and vaca time. Perhaps things change down the road but I really can't commit now.

Sorry guys emoticon

Relax Chris,It is getting cheaper everyday.I've got a few friends coming.

There is a bunch of N/SS guys on their way to Mason Dixon dragway down in MD that want to pop in on Friday.Brian and Gary are bringing the AFX hemi cars.On top of that there is about at least 15 quality street cars on the way.All good stuff no junk. This will be a win win for us as it drives the price down and puts rubber on the track. Also some rumors floating around there may be more FAST/PS guys coming down from up north.

This race is starting to take on a life of its own. It's gonna be a real DONNY BROOK emoticon
