Engine Break-in...... I hate to use "break-in" when firing up a new motor....who come up with that term?
Anyways, it won't be long before I fire up my 440-6 A12 motor and I have a few questions.
The motor is the original and was rebuilt/balanced wayyy back in 1985 and never touched since. I pulled everything down to a shortblock, refreshening the heads with SS valves, springs, retainers, and I have a Bob K camshaft. Other than a pertronix ign. and fire core wires, the rest of the motor is bone stock and even has the original carbs redone by Harms Auto.
What do I need for the break in as far as lubricant? Do I need something better than the general white moly grease? My intentions were to use Brad Penn oil, but should I still add a bottle of ZDD?
