Engine block

I have a 68 Road Runner with a 383. Am I stuck using a B block or can I use a RB block? I am only asking because a 440 wasn't avaliable in a 68 Road Runner only the GTX.
Thanks
Joe

Thanks Tom. I should start building a stroker. Does it have to be from the same year or can I use a 70's 400 block. I can't afford a hemi.

Any year or size B block is legal. emoticon Unless you went with a HEMI you could run a 361, 383, or a 400 block in the car.

Re: Engine block

Thanks, I will start hunting for a 400 block to build a stroker. Right now my car still has the matching numbers 383. My car was pretty complete when I bought it. I need to find the right carb for it though. I don't have the OE one. Any leads on where I can find one? I need some exhaust manifolds too. It had some Mickey Thompson headers on the stock exhaust.
