I have been wondering about all of 69 and 70 B body mopar guys. Why the hard tops instead of coupes? Aren't coupes lighter?
Thanks

Re: Hard Top vs. Coupe
Hardtops were built late in 1968 for most b-bodies (except 1968 charger which were all hardtops). And most customers prefered the hardtop look over the coupe. So more cars at that point were produced as hardtops. The coupe is lighter and more rigid. So the folks that were serious about racing tried to get coupes. I guess its whatever car you can get your hands on is the one you build.

Re: Hard Top vs. Coupe
I can tell my RM21 is stiffer than my old WP23 was. I guess on the east coast and the mid-west you don't have as big of a selection to choose from. I was just wondering if there was a prefenece.
