Re: Attn: Everyone
Man, what a clusterf**k.
The guy(DD), has been nothing but forthright in his intent to be sure that everyone knows there isn't any funny business. I really don't know what more he can do.
Give it a rest already.

I heard this rumor this past weekend also. If the truth was known, why was it still being spread?
It wasn't Ralph I heard it from.
No one from Mancini Racing contacted Dalton to tell him that the information he was given was false or incorrect. So, I would guess that until Mancini clears it up with everyone this employee spoke to, that this information would still be circulating.
Ralph, with all due respect.
Do we need to accept some sales guy that may be just popping off word about it as fact until it's debunked by his employer?? That's bull****t. I find it quite odd, that as a big Detroit Connection customer(Mancini's wholesale division) that speaks to Mancini several times a week, that I never heard a single word about this, ever. And these guys know that I am heavily involved in this type of racing, wouldn't they tell me?? Something smells here.....

Re: Attn: Everyone
Ralph, the mega block thing *is* cleared up. I tore down my block, everybody measured it at .060 over, clear as day you could look down into the water jackets and see water jackets/water between the cylinders. We even ran a wire down one water jacket, between the cylinders and back up the water jacket across the block and took pictures. Between everybody else there and me we couldn't even think of another way to prove the block was legal. Besides the fact it was clearly a water block, if it wasn't, I'd be carrying around a extra 40+ pounds for no reason at all because I'm only .060 over.
The "heads" ? Come on, I don't believe there's a guy we race with that believes I'd try and get away with illegal heads.
I did get a certain amount of satisfaction proving I have always been legal. You finally saw for yourself, your source was and has always been a lier, whoever that might have been.
You did pass around the mega block rumor, you are right about the aluminum head rumor and it looks as if I was wrong about who was spreading the rumor. It wasn't you, it was your father-n-law, sorry.
I will see if Mancini Racing will clear this up, $100 bucks says he saw those heads 4/5 years ago and they were not mine.

Re: Attn: Everyone
We would like to comment on this thread regarding Dave Dudek and his 1969 Road Runner and resolve the situation once and for all.
First, let me identify myself, this David Hakim and I compete in the Factory/Stock and Pure Stock events with my 1970 440+6 Road Runner and therefore some of you may know me.
I now handle the Sales, Marketing and Communications for Mancini Racing.
It has come to my attention that an employee was speaking about some Hemi heads and Dave Dudek.
I spoke to the employee and we are going to clear the air right now on this subject.
1. Our employee saw “camouflage” Hemi heads 4 – 5 years at Best Machine while dropping off parts for his engine project.
2. During this time, no one from Best indicated who the heads were for.
3. Fast forward to July of 2009 - a customer calls to order parts and the FAST class is brought up. Our salesman acknowledges the creativity and ingenuity that goes into building these cars and engines and mentions the Hemi heads he saw at Best Machine years ago.
4. At no time did our salesman mention these heads were for Dave’s car as he wouldn’t know. Again, he is referencing something he saw 4 – 5 years ago.
There is so much misinformation on this subject and no facts to support the allegations against Dave.
Mancini Racing has been in business since 1972 and we take pride in providing our customers with the great products, competitive prices and first-class customer service.
Feel free to contact me direct if you have any questions.
Thanks.
David Hakim
