Cobra prices!!!

I've been watching a Cobra 148GTL on the 'bay, and couldn't believe it went for £90!!
{Item number 290289811542}
This isn't the 120 channel jobbie, the GTL-DX, this is just the 40 channel one.

I can only assume the high bidder thought the rig was something it wasn't despite the page making it clear it was a 40 channel rig.

And I'm a bit miffed as I want one and there's no way I'm paying that!

I been looking at beams on ebay, bought a new one now for £74, this one went for £70 on ebay, seems some people just dont check prices but buy on impulse! Ive done it myself before now though.

Re: Cobra prices!!!

yes its the same with car stereo amps, some of the cheaper makes quote 1000watts when the more expensive named car stereo stuff like Rockford Fosgate only quote RMS. The 100 watt Rockford is louder than the 1000 watt cheapies. I think everyone should have to quote the RMS as its false advertising

Ah - one of my pet hates, this one.

You get the same with speakers. I'd really like to see one of those pathetic pieces of scrap take 2Kw for more than a few milliseconds.

I run a PA system and the bass drivers are rated at 600 watts RMS. That sounds weak compared to car audio stuff, but I know which will go louder, and run at that level all night...
