Information for all FB DX group members

I have now chosen frequency for the Freebanding DX group to meet on etc. at the moment I can find no information that any other DX group has this frequency, if you know different then let me know.

27.590 mghz usb

I'll try and monitor it as much as I can, but until we have a few more active members of the DX group there's little point.

I'm just enquiring as to whether we now have an "official" channel/frequency.
27.590 is (and please forgive me if I'm wrong) between channel 15 & 16 on the hi band.
freeband frequencies can be found on this website:

Yes 27590, however theres not enough of us yet to actuall monitor this frequency. I always QSY to 27590 unless its bust then I use 27585.

I actually thought my Stalker 9f could not tune between channels but there is a hi low switch fitted to allow this.
Just wondering if all ssb rigs can tune between channels???

Steve
By the way I'm hearing a few stations calling from Holland and I think Italy today, as speak. And Guernsey yesterday.
I can't get to talk to them though as by car is off the road and the mag mount is just sitting here on the floor next to me. Receives ok though.

Sorry for this but as a 2nd time returner to CB, and as a M3 license holder - that I do not use as Ham's are well, er, you know...
The thing is that I have brought a couple of retro CB's and I feel that a channel would be better, it can be a 'split' channel if you like but in keeping with the idea that this is no nonsense stuff for our own fun I'd really like to see a frequency chosen hat ends in 5kc's.
Not a big problem but I can't help feeling that I'm not alone on this one?
Regards,
Andy.

OK Andy, good point. Although most multi mode CB radios (Called 10m radios now days) cover all through no gaps. But I see your point as not all stations cover all frequencies.

What about 585? I have a habit of saying "please QSY to 27585" so its good for me. emoticon

Today I sat on 590 and called CQ, incredible response, and I had big QRM from stations all over Europe, the prop was very strong. But 585 would have worked just as well, and using your theory Andy better maybe? emoticon

Re: Information for all FB DX group members

I have no claim that what I say is 'better' at all.
However I have now 4 radios....
no 5.
a superstar 360fm original.
a Ham multimode II
a Superstar 3900
and 2 Albrecht 485's
ok the albrechts are fine but the others can do it but it is a bit random with the Kc shift.
And I am not buying 'propper' Ham stuff again, I have no appetite for it.
so 585/595, I'm easy, but I feel it is better for the 'revival' we are seeing.
Andy.

Hello friends.
Good idea for the frequency group.
27590 and 27600 for the french division.
Any of the ways we will adapt the frequence following the spread and appeals.
