Hi Al, Ye not bad, the 840 is a doddle to use! The 7800 is usually in the car as you can see by half the dash board around it.
The front is detachable so I always take that with me and leave the main unit in as it cant be seen.
Just thought I would bring both together as I was putting more memory channels on the 7800.
I may be trading in the 7800 for an HF Mobile Rig as there are very few on 2M and no-one on 70CM.
will have to see
