Re: AM activity on 56 div
Good evening Pascal,
I'm on ch 4 and on call. But no dx propagations here now. no local stations on band and most stations are near midlle of finland.200-600km from here. Maybe some is on Helsinki city, (70km but not good directions to me)but QRM and QRN are heavy there.
73 my friend, mike

Re: AM activity on 56 div
Hi to all,
here is no propagations and only heard stations from north from here and longest distance was 50 miles. There is some stations under 40 miles but nothing heard. Now, is total clear band but not good ground wave or any kind prop. So, maybe new day to have try.
This all started due to debate of what mode is best to do local dx.
Old boys think is AM and new guys like FM more. All is one ssb is best, but there are distinc of radios and local qrn what can make very varios kind of interpretations.
AM is great if suvey audio and band is silent.
Few weeks ago i made contact to stations what was 65 miles away whit ssb, audio 5 signal 0, after that he had local qso and signal game here about 2. output 12W ssb and 4W on fm, so, we changed mode after that and fm was allways better, so there is differencees between mode in that day at least.
I'd notice this about 20 years ago when band is quiet and free for qrm, some propagations is just best to am mode and cant hear any fm stations on same time. Like few a days ago, Uk game here just fine whit meny am stations but only few on ssb. Indeed qso whit am is not easily if any qrn/m is on.
So, no qso whit am mode and no dx.
But allways come new days and sometimes will be prop also.

Re: AM activity on 56 div
Hi Jr
Nop, what guy u looking for, maybe I know him.
It's a long time when I was active on cb/ec. That 56ww call maybe confusing litlle, but that was first time call sign what I was used on cb(1980..), but I changed call after one week.
Not remember why, gess some club asked to join theirs members, but any way, hope to make qso whit u on some bands sometimes.
73'mike
Ps btw I had qso whit ww from finland and he started cb after a. 1985 if u know this guy. I can send 73 from u.
