DX Picnic up the hills

Hi All, planning a full afternoon up the hill with a picnic.

Desperate to break the DX Virginity of the 840, so taking G5RV to put up an inverted V to try Echo Charlie,aswell as usual Silver Rod and just for fun my old Stinger Mobile on a Boot hatch clamp. shame I cant co-phase all three !!! LOL emoticon

listen out for me on 555 & 585

sorry keith in my excitement forgot to say it was today, been up there since 11.30 just got back. worked 14 & 30divs with good reports pushing about 40-50 watts with silver rod.

will be going up again Monday!!!

damn i need to get the radio in my van, got the mount fixed in place, just got to sort out where the radio is going. i miss sitting out for some DX emoticon

its going to be high up, fixed a heavy duty mount to the side of the hightop. its not ideal but will do for mobile, have to use a dx antenna on a pole me thinks emoticon
