Testing the HP4000


Picked up my Sirio HP 4000 yesterday it was preset tuned to 555, I am planning to test it later today listen out if you on please

I will be able to go higher up the hills with this so will let you know how it performs afterwards.

Thanks for the QSO Al, looks like the 4000 is going to be easier to take out on static mobile.

My SWR Meter was fine !!
It was the patch lead that had died on me so its gone in bin. Centre core was not working when I tested it with Multimeter, only a cheap one anyway.

I was using it to find hight of mountains. Glad your aerial works ok for you anyway, at least now you can go and park anywhere and use it. Again, good luck for Sunday

i use the hp4000 tony was outside andy's 151 house the other day & was working france 5x9+ with the icom 706???
will be giving it a test down the m5 soon.
