Re: July 11 Metre DX
A busy day today
Worked a lot of the world, mostly on ham bands though tbh. 11metres saw a lot of EU, some West Indies (swl not worked). Scandinavia, coming in strong this afternoon.
Nearly chopped the radio in as part ex for a TS 870s, but didnt quite have enough money. Have to save up a little me thinks

Re: July 11 Metre DX
i was out and about most of the morning too..... heard and worked most of EU from my humble little motorcar! i listened to 29ww787 in qso with 153 div (i couldnt hear a thing!) then a little while later i heard 14kw605 talking to 122 div......again i couldnt hear a thing...... seems my humble little motorcar with its sirio megawatt 3000 is great for EU but to get outside im going to have to think a bit bigger! i was up on probably the highest ground around my area too so i cant blame it on not being high enough up!

Re: July 11 Metre DX
Worked 30 and 31 division, but wasnt really trying so hard as I was playing with the new set
No linear atm as I need a lead, but managed to uprate the radio to 125w with a bit of jiggery pokery in the hidden menu It will go higher up to 140w, but not too happy with canning the RF output as, I would like to keep the radio for a while and would like to keep it in good nick. Also my linear, once conected wont need any more.

Re: July 11 Metre DX
hello folks, i have not posted lately so here we go. i have been on air alot since i got into this 11 meters lark. i have had some good contacts mostly europe and to greenland. i have a superstar 158 in my van. i have also got a vintage stalker 9. i have put up a very long solarcon i-max 2000 it my workshop that works well . the radio has been very quiet this week though. at home i made a 1/4 dipole that works well. i sit in my shed with the stalker and my wife thinks im a geek,i dont care. i went up birdlip hill on sunday at 4.30 to see if and fb members were on air but could not contact anyone .i will try again this sunday if anybods are up for a net . best wishes tony 26fb150
