HOT DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just finished a qso with a VERY weak 317 div station, on my list as white russia? his city was pinsk, will look it up later. he was running a president jackson/1/4 wave and straight out of the box 20watts, everything had to be repeated twice and i could hardly hear him most of the time, i got more enjoyment from this qso than many other "easy" ones-a comment that i have heard dave say in the past, anyways, goodmorning all, speak soon, kirk.

Re: HOT DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice one Kirk! I am allways listening out for some of the less heard divisions, not heard that one I dont think. I was thrilled when I got Scotland a few months back, nice to get somewhere new. I dont think I have ever got Ireland, have heard them a few times and its allways just as I am setting up and they gone by the time I`m ready.

Re: HOT DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its funny, i have had a few qso,s with scotland, and both halfs of ireland but nothing from the north/west/of england or wales, could be that you have to be a certain distance for skip to work and that you are just to close? or am i just talking cr*p? anyways since that qso with 317 div my radio has been all but dead, and hardly anything on cluster as well, hope thats not it for this summer????

Re: HOT DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha, sounds like your talking cr*p but I think your right anyway! Never really understood how or why we get these contacts, just enjoy them when it happens. I remember years ago when I first heard 2 div coming in, thought it was a prank at first but within a few mins they were on nearly every chanell. Weird and wonderful stuff.
Hope we have something simmilar again soon.
Keep trying

Re: HOT DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes i think for myself that is the goal a real decent qso with 2 div, but for now still getting good buzz from more "local" european stations, also if you qso with english speaking countries its that bit easier [as per usual my french/german/italian involves speaking loudly and waving my arms around a bit!!] saying that it would be great to have some local chat via ground wave but unless i move nearer to you lot i will put up with the static!
