hi pete. its been a while since i done this mod so here goes!!! turn radio up side down!and take of cover! then find an orange wire which says peep beside it! its above c156 right side near the mic socket!!! this orange wire should go to the +8 volts following the wire to the other end! you need to cut this orange wire in half! and add about 9/10 inches of wire to both ends of the orange wire useing the same grade wire would be best! now you need to either drill a hole in the back panel or your lucky enough to have one there already!! then fit a two pole switch you can get quite small switches to fit! the ones with the nut on the end!!then solder added wire to the 2 ends of the switch then you can move the switch around so up is on and down is off!! dont forget to either heat shrink all soldered connections or tape if you dont have any but i think shrink is better!! this worked on mine that i had!! 73s rich.

hi pete! no problems! hope it goes well for you! yes that bleep can get annoing!!its nice to see a old 360 fm still working! most are over stretched with more bands! screwed up to max power!chopped and changed like you wouldnt believe! a real shame! these are classic radios! and should stay that way! but the bleep mod is ok in my book hi hi! 73s rich.
