Turok
Seeing as i cant get a review on the review labrynth i thought id give turok a little review seen as im bored and in case some of you lot were thinking of buying it
Before you buy the game you must know this
THIS IS NOT LIKE N64 TUROK!!
Basically this Turok is a reboot of the old franchise, don't worry though theres still plenty of dinosaurs and people to kill.
Ok story is, you play as Joseph Turok, A soldier on a ship with a squad of marines to apprehend a mercenary known as Kane, he is the leader of a group of soldiers known as Wolf Pack. The player (Turok) was once a member of Wolf Pack, you get shot down and you crash land on the planet and you have to survive whilst being hunted by both Kanes troops and The Dino's. thats the only bits of the story i'll give away.
One of the best things about the game is the way the Dinosaurs can be manipulated into aiding you, They are completely neutral in the gun battles, the carnivores will attack anyone including the enemy troops, BUT if you like to be sneaky you can make them do your job for you. If you are creeping about in the grass and you see a couple of raptors near an enemy patrol and they havent spotted them yet simple fire a flare into the enemy patrol and watch the dinosaurs eat them all  , but once the enemy is dead your gonna have to kill the dino's.
Another really cool part of the game is the amount of detail in the animations on the dinosaurs, you see every bone move, every tooth and claw, looks pretty awesome, the environments are great as well, the way the grass moves as dino's run toward you.
Also, the knife kills are excellent, generally all the weapons are good, especially the knife and the bow you really feel like rambo when your sneaking up on enemes with the knife or sniping them from a distance with the bow.
The games graphics are fairly good as well except for the odd dodgy texture having to load in, the game ses the unreal engine and it is the best use of it ive seen in a game except epics own efforst such as Gears Of War.
The game does have its flaws. For example when an explosion goes off near you your character tends to get knocked over same for when a dino lunges you. There is a particularly frustratinbit in the game where you get knocked over by an RPG blast and if you arent quik enough the AI exploits it and you keep getting killed over and over but you eventually get past after a couple of tries.
Another thing is the aim assist is very inadaquete and aiming when you've started playing the game is a struggle but as you play more it actually poses less of a problem.
The games multiplayer is average at first play but that might be me being used to halo 3 and call of duty 4. it takes a lot to get used to but once you do it is rather fun. The maps are nice and open and theres always the option of bringing the AI controlled dinosaurs into the fight  .
Well theres pretty much what i thought of the game i would giv an 8.5.
Again this game might only appeal to hardcore FPS players. it's also worth buying just because the dinosaur AI is so good.
