Hmmm...well, personally, ever since seeing The Stepford Wives I've been holding out hope for a robo-wife who'll cook, clean, and be cheerfully compliant to my every whim while I play golf and drink beer in my La-Z-Boy recliner.

...Okay, maybe not.

Don't forget she's fire-proof as well.

Yeah, but what would be really cool is if she could shoot lasers from her eyes. Then we'd never have to worry about annoying solicitors.

Re: Feminisim

My views:
Neither one is better than the other. We all have our faults. I think everything should be fair. I despise it when guys are like "You just got schooled by a GIRL!" or "So basically guys are dominant" (which my friends have said). But then I also despise the fact that guys have been brought up thinking that you can't hit a girl, but girls can hit guys. I've been hit by a guy before - and frankly I didn't care. No one should think they're superior to the opposite gender. If girls can wear "boys are supid throw rocks at them" shirts, then guys should wear "girls go to jupiter to get more stupider" or something like that. They say "All is fair in love and war". Well I think it should be that way between guys and girls.

And if a guy wants to be girly, let him. If a girl wants to act guyish, let her.

Re: Feminisim

I found some article about what a REAL woman should be like, they used Bible verse to back up each statement...
I'll post them and see what you think.

 A real woman...

... is glad she's a woman and rejoices in her femininity, expressing it through her attitude, appearenace and bearing.

[I Timothy 2:9,10 I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.]

... does not compete for equality with men or chafe a tGod's deisgn for males and females, but delights in and understands the importance of her calling to complement man's role.

[I Timothy 2:11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.]

... values the cultivation of her mind and diligently seeks after wisdom and knowledge.

[Proverbs 22:17-21 Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips. So that your trust may be in the LORD, I teach you today, even you. Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge, teaching you true and reliable words, so that you can give sound answers to him who sent you? Proverbs 2:2-6 Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.]

... realises her imperative need to allow the Holy Spirit to control her emotions and expressions of them.

[James 1:19,20 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.]

...does not wallow in self pity or make a habit of voicing complainst, but radiates cheerfulness and joy.

[Proverbs 15:15 ...the cheerful heart has a continual feast. Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.]

Number 2 bothers me, truth be told. Even if one grants that Paul's advice was workable within the context of the Roman Empire and its rigidly patriarchal worldview, I really don't think it has meaning today.

I heard a really interesting view from a man named Mark on some of Paul's teaching about women a few weeks ago. Especially in the Corinthians. Mark said that in Corinth at that time, prostitutes marked themselves by wearing their hair short, and so Paul told women not to do that, since they would be mistaken for a prostitute. Of course, today, that isn't an issue. Prostitutes can come in all hairstyles now. Now, I can't back that up Biblically, because Paul didn't come out and say "Don't look like a prostitute!", but it was pretty common knowledge back then.
