Good Old Debates
Hey fellow barbarians,
Whatever happened to the good old days of flaming, Molotov c.ocktail-throwing, "I'm out-numbered, but at least I'll go down fighting" debates? As frustrating as they were, I actually kind of miss them.  I suppose everyone's busy with summer plans, or maybe we've simply exhausted our box of topics... I was just wondering.

I can't speak for anyone else, but of late I've had a lot of things going on that have been demanding my attention / draining my reservoirs of emotional energy (such as they are). Haven't really been up to long, drawn-out arguments.

Well ya see, the problem is also that most of the "others" from the "other side" didn't quite make it here. And it's sort of hard to have one of those one-sided arguments where you feel like you're one of the few intellectuals in the sea of "greater than thou" folks if there aren't any of them here.

yeah, well I couldn't even get on the message board for like 3 weeks. So... I wasn't in a very good position to debate anything. Now, however, I'll start a new topic because I have one which..*ahem* I have very strong feelings about.
