Sister...

She is driving me CRAZY! She yells at me and says mean things for no reason at all and if I even tell her to stop it I get in trouble!

This morning I was sitting at the table brushing my hair and she said, "You don't need that hairbrush! Give it to me NOW!" and just took it from me. Then she saw I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt because I had my MRI and she was like, "Eww...you're wearing THAT?" and I explained why and she said, "Like I care." I said she needed to grow up and start acting nicer and she burst into tears and told my mom and if I upset her again I'm grounded for a week.
Then after school we were watching TV and she had the remote. She looked at me and screamed, "I don't like this show!" *note...SHE had the remote, SHE was dictating what we were watching* Then she yelled at ME to change the channel and asked why I have to be so mean and make her watch bad shows. Then she gave me the remote as I was leaving the room and yelled for mom that I wasn't letting her watch what she wanted. I got lectured again.

What do I do to make her stop being such a jerk???

Holy mackerel. Take her in a room and threaten to beat her up. Scare her pretty badly. Her face will be priceless, even if you do get lectured again.

[[okay, maybe not a good idea, but it works sometimes.]]

In my experience it always works, but unfortunately it's a fast way to lose babysitting jobs. emoticon

How old is she?

But....................I would let her know you're in charge. Sometime when your parents aren't home and it's just the two of you say something to her like
"I'm tired of you dissing me and my clothes and I would appreciate it if you stopped, but since I don't see you doing that on your own because your such a big baby then I would like you to meet my friends (make to fists and give them names I use bob and larry). If you keep acting like this you'll get to see a lot of them if you're lucky. If you tell mom about this then you'll only prove my point that you're a big selfish bratty jerk who goes to her mom for help. If you still don't stop behaving like that you'll get to see worse."

Something like that. You might want to be sure you don't have anything important in the next week or two JUST incase. But it always works with my sister. I guess basically just give your sister her own medicine. See how she likes it. It's mean but it works a lot of the time. And if she keeps it up punch her in the stomach fairly hard (and run out of the room into your room, start reading a book or something so as to look innocent). Less likely to mess with you quite so much.

Re: Sister...

Well, she's 12.

And I don't think that would be such a good idea because she WOULD tell my mom and I'd get in huge trouble. And I can't do anything back because if I even try to tell my mom how she's been acting I am the one who gets in trouble.

Take last night, for instance. I had to burn a DVD for a school project. The first one we made didn't have sound on accident and what does she say? "Oh, Kelly just wasted a perfectly good DVD, don't give her another one, she'll screw that up too."
We made that one and it worked on one DVD player but not the other so I decided to take the camera to school today just in case (if we didn't have that tape then my group's play wouldn't have worked). She was like, "No way, you can't let her take that to school! Stuff like that gets stolen at the high school all the time!" Well...seeing as how I've GONE to high school for 3 years now and I've never had anything stolen or heard of anything big like that being stolen, I told her that she was wrong. My mom gave me a look, but then she went on with the whole "You're worthless, you'll lose it and be in big trouble. You can't take it to school because you'll lose it, I know you will..." thing so I just couldn't take it anymore and told her that I was sick of her always picking on me for things like that and saying that I'm going to mess everything up. My mom yelled at ME and said that I need to be nicer and if she heard one more word I'd get in trouble.

Oh. And she also tried to ground me from watching TV shows that she might get to watch if she's not around because I shouldn't get to watch them if she can't.

Kel, all I have to say is: your sister better be glad that she doesn't live with me. Why? Because I don't care if I get in trouble. Go ahead and tell on me. I'll be the crap out of you anyway. <---- Maybe you should tell her that. It always worked on my cousin. [she lived with me for a while...and we shared a room.... ick.]

^^^^ LOL I would get in a lot of trouble if I said any of those things that yall posted!!!!!!!I have to share a room with my 13 year old sis. and we get along ok.The bad thing about sharing a room with her is that I'm a neat freak and my side of the room is always spotless(except if you went into my bedroom right now it would be a mess cause I threw clothing everywhere trying to find sumthing to wear emoticon )but normally its spotless...welll not my sis her side of the room always looks as if a tornado went through it!!!!!!!It drives me insane!!!!!!! I use to clean her side of the room because I couldn't stand it being trashed. But I've given up on that cause she would trash it right back up and I shouldn't have to do it anyway! But yeah we fight like cats and dogs sumtimes but than others we are really nice to each sooo yeah it just depends on the day and our moods that day........ emoticon

Re: Sister...

Ugh, I'm sorry Kelly. My little sister, whose name is also Kelly, was never quite that bad, but she was close. But after a few big things happened (like my dad going to Iraq, and my other sister getting kicked out), she really grew up a lot. I like her a whole lot more now. Maybe you should almost die, then she might be nicer. :] Just kidding. If you need to vent, feel free to email me.
