The New Order
I have come to say the time has come to stop relying on the word of god. It is a new era a time to stand up on our own and get the strength to do what we must. we only cripple ourselves if we rely on a higher being for strength. I have lost loved ones i used to pray for them to be saved but after a while i realized that we must find our strength ourselves in order for our souls to grow to their full potentials. I am not saying that all religion is bad but when we were building our civilization we needed the help of that higher power but now it is time to stand on our own two feet and do what we were meant to do on our own.

No who ever said i belived in him for god has no sex and what if when we die we just become nothing. Do you remember when you sleep sure you have dreams but when you dont then that is how its like to be dead for sleep is just a temp death. instead og wasting out time on religion we should just enjoy life. Also i do not practice these ways i practice my peoples way because i am lakota a true american. I find fault in all religion and do not descrimnate against anyone kind of religion. But ask yourself do you truly know that theres a heaven or when we die its just a blissful eternal sleep of darkness.

First of all, we can't find strength in ourselves. We are nothing without God. We were never meant to do anything on our own. If we needed help from God when we were building our civilization we still need help today. God knows whats best, we don't. He had a reason for not answering your prayers the way you wanted Him to. His ways aren't our ways and His thoughts aren't our thoughts.
You asked how do we know there is a Heaven after we die. Well, how do you know that there isn't one after we die? How do you know that when we die we just become nothing? Since you brought up Heaven I guess I should bring up Hell. How do you know that their isn't one? Is being mad at God worth taking the risk of going to Hell? Thats not a good place to be.
The Bible says that "The fool says in his heart there is no God." You're not a fool are you?

i am a fool a much as you and everyone else is. You say we are nothing without god. then there is an example of how you have crippled yourself. in believing that you cannot find the strength in youself you are saying that ur life is not worth anything and that you have no confidence. if there is a hell then i would rather be there instead of a heaven where a jealous god resides. come on what kind of god tell his people to murder other people just because they dont act the way he wants them to. if that is not a demon in disquise then i dont know what is.
oh yea if being a fool means that i am stronger then you. if it means i am not crippled if it means that i am happy. then yes i am a fool in your eyes but not in mine. i am whole. i have never felt better. my life is great no lightening bolt has struck me down. i am me.

1. In an above post you said that God doesn't have a gender. Well, God the Father and God the Son seems to make it quite clear that God is a male!
2. Where exactly does God tell us to murder other people who don't act the way we/He wants?
3. I am extremely happy with God in my life and you are not whole. You may be trying to fill that hole with earthy things and temptations but you know in your heart that something is missing, whether you will admit it or not. Obviously you just want to argue and not even try to accept where we are coming from, but someday, when the rapture happens, although I will be gone, I wish I was still here just to see the look on your face when you realize how wrong you are! I'm glad you are happy the way you are but you will never be truely happy without God in your life!

Ah but has god spoken to you directly or have you achieved all this knowledge from a book that at any time can be tampered with. Oh yeah why did you have to quote me you could have just said in the post above.
Have you read all the bible this so called god said you can only worship him and no other. this is a jealous god and greed will bring you no good.
I am whole. You maybe the one who is not whole. You try to fill your insignificance by filling it with beliefs that you are chosen by a holy being to be alive. Life is like a shooting star if you waste it on meaningless things then you will have lived a sorry life.
Ask yourself do you have solid evidence of god or is it just all faith. If god is a man then he can also make mistakes.
Why are you so afraid of dying. All great things must have an end. which means do you truly want to live forever. how much that would be hell. I want rest after this long but happy life. I will fall into a eternal sleep of rest. I am whole if you believe it or not. that does not matter in the end. It matters only that i am whole and truly happy in my heart. gods do not decide my way of life.

OK so there are really 3 sides to this.
1) religious person
2) non-religous person
3) the person who doesn't care.
There are variables of those, but those are the main 3.
The person who is religious would say that there is a God, he's everything (yeah I'm sure you've already heard us say this so I wont go on).
The person who is non-religous would say that a god doesn't exist and therefore you shouldn't waste your time worshiping something that doesn't even exist.
HOWEVER. A little something to think on. I'm not placing it on either of those two views. But...
If you live like there is heaven and you die, then you DO go to heaven or hell, you haven't lost anything.
If you live like there is heaven and you die, but there isn't, well sure it was a waste of time.
If you live like there isn't heaven and there isn't, once again, no loss.
If you live like there isn't heaven but you find out there is, you'll live in hell forever.
Personally, I don't like the last one.

But see you never will truly know. Plus I dont think if there is a god that he will sned you to hell just because you dont believe in him. I am not a bad person. I help the helpless and those in need. I am very generous. I have love and compassion inmy heart. does that mean all those good acts will mean nothing if i dont believe in a god?
