Bad day songs
I need a list of songs that you listen to or play when you have a bad day. It can be songs that will cheer you up or just songs that let you wallow and feel sorry for yourself or whatever for awhile.
Please?

Re: Bad day songs
Okay, but...no making fun of me.
Mary's in India by Dido
Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas
I'm Not Okay (I Promise) by My Chemical Romance
Come As You Are, Serve the Servants, and Rape Me by Nirvana
Scars by Papa Roach
Pretty much anything by Simon & Garfunkle or The Wallflowers
Renegade by Styx (This one can pretty much cheer me up anytime, which may or may not be odd)
--- See you in the funny papers!

Re: Bad day songs
When I've had a really rough day, I choose to listen to something that will lift me up rather than bring me farther down. In other words, I don't like to dwell on the bad things that happened that day because that'll get me really depressed. And nobody likes to feel that way. And I just feel like listening to some "self-pity-party-throwing" song might cause me to get like that. Music has a power to touch the emotions. If you listen to that kind of stuff, it'll effect you the same way. You can quote me on that. It's happened to me.
My songs are mostly from Avalon, but here goes anyway.
Avalon: New Day
I love to get up in the morning and play this song. It talks about a "new day" being new life in Christ, so it helps remind me that I've been made a new creation in Him, and morning is the perfect time to hear that song because it says "Thank God it's a brand new day!" I love that line! So it has advantages all the way across the board.
Avalon: I'll Fly Away
Their version is so addictive ... no matter what kind of day I've had, when I hear that, I can't help but smile! The cure! lol
Avalon: You Were There
This song really helped me out in a very hard time in my life. A plus song! What I mean by that is it's an incredible song, and it's about how God was there throu history, and He's there for you!
Avalon: Orphans of God
There are no orphans of God! That is so very, very, very true!!!
Another song that encouraged me in a hard time. You will never be orphaned by God! Amen!
And pretty much just about any of the songs on Janna Long or Melissa Greene's solo Cd's.
Okay ... so it was pretty much all Avalon ... but they're my favorite! Anything they put out just encourages you and lifts you up, gets you thinking about your Savior, which is where your mind should be!

Re: Bad day songs
I just go to my room and run through the minor scales...
--- How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnish'd, not to shine in use!
As tho' to breath were life.
