The Pact

So, interesting story. I've been hearing about The Pact from you guys for a while, and dying to get my hands on it--and what do you know? The book is just lying innocently all alone on a desk today, so I pick it up to see who's reading it (hoping it's someone I know, so I can borrow it!) and it ends up being my friend Megan's, and she couldn't get past the third page, so now I get to read it.

Anything I should know going in? I'm going to start tonight and I am PUMPED.

we could fall between these lines if you would work with me.
i could pull you from this cellar;
we could break these chains together.
and you'd become just what you always meant to be.

Half-way done; in love with the whole thing. I'll probably read it twice before I give it back and then buy it off Amazon. I'm a rereader.

That one is my favorite book of hers. There are SO many twists...and a LOT of good quotes. Write down or mark the good ones as you go or you'll be searching back through them.

Re: The Pact

My AP Euro teacher keeps a running list of the books that she reads on her marker board, and I noticed a couple weeks ago that she was reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi, and we started talking about The Pact also. Now she's reading The Pact, and I'm reading My Sister's Keeper! I love good teachers.

I got one of my friends to read Nineteen Minutes, and she loved it, so now she's reading The Pact, and I'm so excited. I can't wait to be able to talk about it with someone face to face. :]
