Re: valve clearance gk73 1989
If the cam lobes highest point is vertical from the rocker you can adjust those valves
to make it simple

Re: valve clearance gk73 1989
The gasket for the cam cover, if it's like the 71F, is a beaded rubber one and as long is it's not been torn, pinched or squashed then it's reusable. I've had the same gasket in my 71F since buying the bike, I've had the cam cover of at least a dozen time and it's still completely oil tight.
As long as you have the tools you need then you shouldn't have to buy anything to do the job unless you find something damaged along the way.
You'll need to wait for Stripes or someone with a 73 to come along for the clearances as I'm not sure what they should be for your model.

Re: valve clearance gk73 1989
you got everything you need except your gonna need some silicone for the half moons on the head on each side plus its nice to use some to hold the gasket to the valve cover. also some coolant cause you have to drain the radiator 10mm bolt on the water pump drains it. And i beleive we straightened out the valve clearance spec thing
