Karen's list
My list of ailments/ surgeries:
Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Allograft fusion and plating C4-5, 5-6 December 2006;
Diagnosed Arnold-Chiari Type I April 2007;
Suboccipital Craniectomy, C-1 laminectomy, duraplasty May 2007; Lumbar peritoneal shunt for pseudomeningocele August 2007; Fibromyalgia diagnosed January 2008
I suspect I may have a tethered cord but my doc says lumbar MRI did not show this. I also am concerned about possibility of a syrinx(I never did have a full spinal scan)
Hoping to get to TCI someday...
Just thought I'd flesh out my medical history a bit:
March 2003- fell on ice sustained concussion and whiplash injury when the back of my head hit the ground; seems it was after this I started having more and more problems.
Had problems with neck and back pain and spasm on and off for year before that, saw a chiropractor several times a year
April 1996- hospitalized for suspected pulmonary embolism or cardiac issues; was having chest pains, shortness of breath--all diagnostics were normal--was told it was anxiety/depression (??chiari manifestations??)
1990's: can't remember exactly when, but had three laparoscopic surgeries for ovarian cysts, eventually they removed left ovary. (four laparoscopes, I guess if you count my tubal)
with all that surgery and working in the nursing field I have developed a Latex Allergy. (Which isn't so bad as now I always get to be first on the surgical schedule )
peptic ulcers as a teen
severe perforated eardrum as a kid that left me with 35% hearing loss in my right ear.
