New Stuff

Had my NL visit yesterady after a spinal MRI. It don't look too good. Said I have arachnoiditis, spinal stenosis, multiple disc herniations and worse (I think) of all myelopathy.

He said I have the spinal column of a 75 year old. I felt real good on that one, being only 55.

Been reading up on all of this and what could develop out of this is Lou Gehrig disease and MS. The future does look a little bleek right now.

And I have a lumbar punture and EEG to go.

Peace,
David

David,
Sorry to hear about your latest reports.
I know things look bleak now but remember that after the darkness of this time here we have an eternity of living in His holy light.
In the meantime your sisters and brothers in Christ will be praying for you.

Amen, Karen...

David, I'm also sorry to hear of these reports...I hope you won't jump to too many conclusions as it sounds like a few things are a bit iffy yet. Have you had an LP before?

Now, I haven't read up on ALS. A friend of ours had it. He felt he got it from drinking water for many years that ran through lead pipes. Do people have both ALS and MS at the same time? What a rough deal...my prayers and hopes are that you do not have these terrible diseases. And remember that HOPE doesn't mean that "I wish" for these things.

Hope means something we place our confidence in. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." So, I am placing my confidence in the Lord to make all of these things very clear for you.

I know arachnoiditis is a rough dx, as well. You must be careful with surgeries, etc. Our GREAT Healer and our Creator will be at your side and your testimony will shine forth for all to see, winning many hearts to Him.

Thanks for letting us know. When you go for the EMG and LP, let us know the results, 'kay?

yer sister
V.

David,
After reading another post by you yesterday, I see why you are in despair. Your new diagnosis in addition to this, has to bum you .
Take one moment at the time... Live each as best you can...

Know there will be a day, when we will have no more suffering or pain. Do not give up or in, God is working in you. We don't know , why, how, or when... but He will reveal that in His time.

In the meantime, we are your sounding board, your *healing friends*. Vent, all you will.

God Bless and rise you up David.

Thanks folks for your kind words. They do reel me back to reality.

With the dx's, it was a bit overwhelming, to say the least, with the possibility of more to come. And with the EEG, I now have epilepsy. Will just have to get a larger pot to add that one to. And still waiting on further test results.

And I realize all of this is for a reason, it just has not come to light yet. And, I have begun to feel stronger in accepting what comes my way.

God will give to me some insight, He always have, I just need a little more patience.

Peace,
David

Hi David, I was so sorry to read about your new medical diagnosis'.

It is so hard to have so much continually piled on. I see hope in you though and your faith is so strong that it inspires those around you.

I hope that the prayers i lift up in your name are felt by you. You have strength in your words and I know that God will watch over you in this time...Sue

Re: New Stuff

Hi Virginia,

Well, this morning at church was interesting. The entire church was waiting on me to play and I was having a staring into space seizure, someone had to come over and shake me. I just grinned inside and continued.

The epilepsy medication has not really kicked in yet, I continue to have the muscle jerks, spasms, staring. But I have noticed them being less.

I should hear about the lumbar puncture (number 4 for me) and blood results by Tuesday. All of that was sent to the Mayo Clinic and not done locally for evaluation. So hopefully will see.

Hope your day is going OK.

Peace,
David
