Five Stages of Grief
"In the ensuing years, it was noticed that this emotional cycle was not exclusive just to the terminally ill, but also other people who were affected by bad news, such as losing their jobs or otherwise being negatively affected by change. The important factor is not that the change is good or bad, but that they perceive it as a significantly negative event."

I am including these links here because I feel they are so important to help us understand that we are grieving a loss of a way of life, a sense of identity and self worth, loss of a job, loss of independence, etc. STudying a bit about these stages of grief can be very helpful and also, freeing when you understand that you are going through a very normal process. If you find this interesting and find any more good links about this subject, please post!
