Whithdrawals
Hi Everyone,
I hope you all have been doing well in my absence.
I've needed to get off the Oxycontin I've been taking. PM had lowered my dose a couple of weeks ago.
I stopped taking it all together on Mon. The past 2 days have been horrible. I've hardly slept the past 63 hours.
About an hour ago I felt like I'm feeling better. Like maybe I'm over the worst of it. I'm so worn out from no sleep and all the bad symptoms I've been having.
If you guys could pray that the Lord would see me through this with complete recovery soon. I'd appreciate it so much.
I need to sign off so I can go lay down.
Thank you for your prayers. I know God hears them.

Our dearest Lord Jesus,
You know what is necessary for REgina to get completely off of this medication. Lord, you know how to heal her and all of her needs. I pray that you will loose your healing power and spirit upon our sister, that you will touch her right now, where she is at, laying down and trying to feel better, right there right now, I pray your Holy finger would reach out and touch her, relieve her pain, give her an incredible night's sleep, remove this withdrawal situation from her. May she testify of Your miraculous, healing power tomorrow, oh Lord! In Jesus' Name, Amen...
And Regina, in case you need to know in the future, I did hear that there is a med called Suboxone that docs rx for those coming off of Oxycontin. Don't know a thing about how well it works.

Father , our Dad,
We ask for you help tonight. Regina is having a really hard row, weaning off medication. Lord would you please help her? Father, take away the anxiety, the heart racing, the trembles, all the ugly things the body goes through with this? Lord, we know, and have seen answered prayers right here in Healing Friends. I ask again Lord, for another for our friend and your daughter Regina.
Blessed Redeemer, thank you for answered prayers and this one you will answer for Regina. We love you Dad, thank you through your Son I ask of thee.

Thank you so much for your prayers! It looks like I made it through the worst of it!
I've slept about 4 hours tonight. I'm planning on more sleep shortly. Compared to how I felt around this time Tues. night things are much better.
I was even able to eat something last night without feeling sick. I think I'll be able to eat breakfast.
The LORD is so good. Praise Him for his mercy! I'm so glad to be over the bad stuff.
I had no idea that sneezing and coughing were part of withdrawal symptoms. Until I read a symptoms list on the internet today.
Well time to sign off and try to get more sleep.

I didn't know about the coughing and sneezing either! My husband takes this...

Thanks Virginia, and Gale, for your
encouragement and wonderful support.
I learned from a CCI member that the first 72 hrs is the worst. Then after 5 days things start getting better a little each day.
Now I have an idea as to what to expect. Now I can just count down the days and this thing will be over and done with.
