Going to Maine Friday
Hey all. Please pray for good traveling for Bob and I as we drive to Maine for a wedding. Bob is doing the photography as a favor for the bride who is a former coworker. They are paying for us to stay in a motel overnight. The wedding is Friday evening, then we'll take our time coming home on Saturday. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can take a nice walk on the beach!
Of course, whether I actually go or not is completely dependent upon how I feel upon waking in the morning. If you don't hear from me on the 8th or 9th you'll know I went.
Love you all, see you soon!
Karen

Lord I ask this is Jesus name. Thank you Father.

Re: Going to Maine Friday
Hi, all. Thanks for your prayers. I know that they got me through a couple of very long days!! We had a nice trip. There was some rain while we drove there but it held off at the coast until just after the ceremony ended.
The wedding was very sweet. Just 28 people there, including us. The groom wore all casual white, the bride a short bell shaped gown, both barefoot. They had a decorated arch secured into the sand with a couple of tire irons and bungee cords! The groom has a little boy and the bride a little girl. They both participated when they werent' playing in the sand. Bob got an adorable picture of the little guy making angels in the sand before the ceremony. Instead of a candle lighting (too windy at the beach of course) they had each of the kids pour different colored sand into a bottle to represent the blending of the two families. I thought that was so sweet.
Anyway, all went well. Now I am just exhausted. I wore my soft collar in the car and have a really great squishee pillow that I use, but the jostling from riding for such a long time still makes my head and neck hurt. I slept until almost 11:00 today! I'm sure you can all relate.
Supposed to be going to a BBQ/50th birthday party today for a good friend of my brothers' -- I think I'll just make a 'cameo' appearance. I'm ready to just sink into the recliner and watch the Olympics.
Talk to you all later.
(((hugs)))
Karen
