small prayer
Hi everyone, please just keep us in your prayers.I hurt my leg so how today while we were cooking for tomorrows fundraiser. i am so tired, anxious that there is not enough food for all those people coming and just a little anxious about the whole thing. This is hard for me. I do not like to be in the "attention circle" and especially for somethinng like this. We cooked all day today and it still does not look like enough
but the other ladies think it will be. Please pray for a calm voice as I lead in our prayer over our food tomorrow night and as Brian and I thank everyone. The Lord will provide and feed thousands with a few loaves of bread and a few fish. I think I am just anxious about the food too much And my leg hurting to does not help.
ok, enough babbling. I can not complain compare to our dear sweet friend. thank you for just letting me babble. Love you all, Joleen

Re: small prayer
Father I am asking for peace for our Sister. she doesn't enjoy receiving, as to her humility and service. Calm her and give her understanding of other Christians doing for her is a full circle to things she has also done for others.Lord, touch her leg and give her relief. Master of all and everything, let her rest. No one would expect her to work so hard for her own benefit.
Lord, you know, and are in control. The food will be enough. We believe your promises Lord God, Heavenly Ruler.
IN your Son's blood soaked name I pray.
Amen

Re: small prayer
I agree with Gale in prayer. And Joleen, you have been in my thoughts a lot yesterday and now today! God be with you. He will take care of everything and Gale is right, no one would expect you to be working so hard. I have had a fundraiser done for me and it turned out to be a lovely event with a great outpouring of love. It was not hard at all. Just keep your mind focused on all the blessings that will raining down on those who give tonight...and on your eventually recovery and healing from your problems after this surgery! God is with you!
love you, sister

Re: small prayer
thank you for you prayers and you guys are right. I do have a hard time recieving as sometimes I dont feel worthy enough.
Thank you for just being here. I will get on late tonight if I am wide awake and not completely worn out and post on how it went. it is going to be fine and I left that at the foot of the Cross, no I just have to leave it there and not pick it up again.

Re: small prayer
Joleen, know what? When I posted what I did here, I wrote first this: that you are trying to justify or earn whatever gets raised for you.
Then I deleted it because I was afraid that sounded too harsh. But psychologically, I think that might be true. You were working so hard on food because you were trying to show everyone and yourself that you are not trying to get something for nothing.
Hey, that's human, I woulda been right there with ya if I were in the same boat. You're a good honest, hardworking woman. I understand.
I'm glad you left it at the foot of the Cross and are ready for a celebration tonight. I've already been praying for this this morning. I just wish we all could have been there! I'm so glad they wrote that wonderful article in the paper, I pray it will bring new folks in who will see the love of a Christian family, folks perhaps who need to feel a part of that, who need Jesus in their lives.
Love you, rest, if you can!

Re: small prayer
Amen and amen. Thinking of you Joleen and praying that your leg is feeling better and that this fundraiser will be a huge blessing for you and your family. And it will be a blessing for those who are giving as well. You know how rewarding it is to give and to serve. I understand how hard it is to be on the receiving end of that but if you continue to give God the praises as you did in the article, so many will be blessed in return in ways you won't even know. Just keep in mind that God has put us all here for each other, and you are completely worthy and deserving of receiving His blessing through his people. Love you!!
(((hugs)))
