Gonna need some prayers please
I had hoped this would not happen, but my neck has been hurting for the last two weeks. This is where a disk is pressing on my spinal cord. I will be visiting a new neurosurgeon this Wednesday at Vanderbilt Hospital for this. My neurologist wants this done since the disk is pressing on the front and back of the cord, and now the pain is beginning.
I have been taking a mild pain reliever at bedtime just to get to sleep. Cannot take it during the day, pain relievers really have an adverse affect on me, cannot function.
I really do not want another surgery, but am afraid this cannot be avoided, I just do not like pain, and I do not know what other effects this pressing will have. I suppose I will be learning about all this on Wednesday. Your prayers will be appreciated.

David, I can understand some of your feelings. I feel the same way about my fusion (cranial cervical type)... it's all so hard to weigh. Will I be better? Will I be worse? Will the pain be tolerable? Well, I suppose Joleen is feeling this way right now, where her TC surgery is coming up soon.
Dear Lord, please be with our brother David. Shore him up, oh Lord with your Spirit. Give him strength and confidence. Be with this new doctor and give him wisdom and savvy. Lord, if it is your will that David have more surgery, then please make this plain to David, make the way known and clear. And give him courage and confidence to move ahead. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
David, let us know what happens, okay?

Good morning Father,
Thank you for the honor and privilege of coming t you in prayer. I stand Father in agreement with Virginia's prayers for David. Lord, guide him and the right Dr's to do what is needed to relieve the pain, and if possible Father, Heal the spine of any damage to his body.
For it is in your Son's name I also ask your hands around the little one as he and his Dad manage without Mom.

David, maybe talk to your doctor about tethered cord surgery if he starts wanting to do a surgery. that is minimilly invasive and may be a better route than a disk being touched. I dont know but it is worth asking the ns.
Dear Father, we lift up our brother David to you. Lord please give the doctor wisdom, knowledge, direction and guidance as he looks over Davids neck and issues. Lord, please eliviate or calm Davids neck pain or show him ways of helping the pain subside so that his body is not under so much stress.
Lord, I ask for peace with in Davids mind and heart.Give him strength and perseverence to deal with this.We thank you and lift up Your Holy name. Lord, I know that this is not easy to think of when we are going through a storm, but thank you Father for allowing these storms in the mist of our lives. We grow closer to you and have to rely on You Father, knowing that all who beleive in You and put their hearts in trusting You Father, will be guided and will be carried through each storm. Lord, David is a faithful Son. Please Lord, carry him through this and give him what he needs to persevere. thnak you Lord for your love and grace that continues to flood over us daily.
