Prayer meeting for Joleen

Father,

We come here together today, to lift Joleen , our friend, your daughter and our sister.

Lord of all, heavenly King, you manifest yourself in everything known to man and beyond.

We believe you when you say, where two or more are gathered in your name, you will hear us. We believe you, that if we have faith, it will be answered.

Abba, we ask you for safety for Joleen and her family as they travel to Denver.

We ask, Father for discernment from Dr. Ora, that he will take every microscopic detail, and study for her case. We ask Father that he listens for your discernment and direction in her surgery.

We pray Father, that Joleen will be encased in your arms during all of this. We ask Lord, that every precaution is taken for her uneventful surgery and recovery. Lord, protect her from any harm.

Father I ask for peace for her and her dh and children. Allow them to put their concerns at you feet, along with all those that love Joleen.

Lord thank you for all you give to us every day. Thank you for the safety you have provided my family these past few weeks. To you Father we give all praise and glory.

For is through your Son Lord we come humbly to you.

Amen.

FAther, I stand in petition with my brothers and sisters on my behalf Lord. I pray Father that every little detail will work out and that you would also put a hedge of protection around our friend Tom as he travels to Denver on Wed. night so that he will be there during surgery to pray with my husband Brian. Please keep him safe. Lord, may no man, or anything come between what needs to be done with this surgery.
Thank you Father for your provisions and guidance and for each and every person who has been a part of my life and who stands in prayer for me. Especially all my brothers and sisters here Father. I praise you and exhault you for bringing us together and the friendships you are building with in this group. Thank you Father. it is in your Sons precious name we pray,Jesus, Amen

I'm so sorry I wasn't here, our phone service went out for hours and hours! I kept thinking you all would think I was blowing you off!!

I have been praying all day and evening. Asking the Lord to put his Angels all 'rounda bout your car, Joleen, and now that I know to pray for Tom, I will do that as well.

The Lord has led you to this place in time and I know things will go very well. May this surgery resolve your symptoms and help you to get back to living a more healthy life.

I stand in agreement with what you and Gale have written, and I believe the Lord is poised to do wonders!

We will miss you here so very much, and will be anxious to read your blog and see how you are doing.

May God continue to bless and keep you.
with love and Amen

Oh sweetie, I know you would not blow me off. I am just glad you are ok. I was concerned that you may be in horrible pain or something.

Thank you for all your prayers. I spoke with the lady at the Strawberry Place that we are staying and she said there is not internet service..so I pray that it will not be a hassle for Brian to get service so that Lana (our daughter) can post messages and keep everyone updated. We have had so much company tonight and I was unable to get here any sooner myself. The last person just left. emoticon I am a little tired but doing good. the only problem is I am feeling nauseated. I have been feeling like that for a couple of days. Vomiting has been a problem since the accident too, but I have not done it in a while. I pray I dont start again.

Virginia, how long did they make you lay after TC surgery and then when you got up did you get sick? And how long were you in the hospital?

Thank you, loveJoleen

Hi Joleen,

I was in the hospital 6 days...but you see, I had the Invasive Cervical Traction the afternoon before the surgery and had such a hard time with it that they admitted me, since I had to be early at the hospital anyway.

THEN, I had a bad reaction to the Dilaudid they gave to me post op in the pain pump. Listen, Joleen, you have had TBI as well, and someone who has had TBI should never have Dilaudid so you should be sure they know about that! I had bad hallucinations and then really bad confusion/trouble thinking for days afterward and THAT is the reason I stayed in hospital that long.

My surgery was a complicated one too, I had a very large mass of arachnoid adhesions where the cord was tethered, so they had to dissect that, and a 3 hour surgery turned into a 7.5 hour surgery.

They make you lie flat 24 hours after the surgery. It went fast for me b/c I had the pain pump and was out of it quite a bit. I don't recall any nausea when I got up.

Do you have any ginger in your spice cabinet? You can mix ginger in water with ice cubes and a little sweetener and it tastes pretty good and really helps with nausea.

Hope you can get some rest tonight!

ask any questions whenever you can!
hugs
V.

We are here in Denver. We went through really heavy rain only to get here and to have Tornado warnings and watches hit our valley. Golf ball size hail. But everyone is doing good.

The Strawberry house is awesome and it is so green and beautiful here with all the rain. I am exhausted so I am heading to bed here soon. I love you guys and will be here bright and early to pray with you. Love, Joleen

I read your blog update, Joleen. It is so nice to "hear" your voice tonight when I did not expect it. I'm so happy to hear the SH is so nice...that will make it nice for your dh and dd to enjoy, as well, while you are in the hospital.

I am praying for you, and praying this surgery will solve ALL of your problems!

hugs

Good to hear from you Joleen! aren't computers so great?

Sorry for the difficult drive in the rain .

Rest where and when you can Jo and rest assured you are being covered in prayer.

What an inspiration you are to so many.

Into His hands we place your illness and pain. Thank you Lord.

Good morning, thank you for just being here. It was so good to be here and be able to write. Computers are wonderful Gale emoticon What is such a blessing is that we do not have internet service but the people next door do emoticon so we are able to tie into theirs. Praise God!

I had a rough night last night, up and down all night running back and forth to the restroom. So I am a bit tired. But this morning sun brings a beautiful morning.
Love, Joleen
