Updates-little more detailed
Hi guys,
Dr.Oro added a bunch more tests for me to do so that he could check my 1 year post decompression MRI to see how things were going and to check to see whether I had tethered Cord or Occult tethered cord.
All tests came back good. My brain has dropped a little but we are praying that the surgery for "Occult tethered Cord" will release and let the brain move back up into the right position is was in after the surgery, before the accident. I origially had just Tethered Cord but after looking at the films Dr.Oro said that the Books would say that my spinal cord is in the normal area but out of the thousands of spinal cords he has ever seen, none of them has been as low as mine and it concerns him a lot. That is what makes my case very rare.
So we do not know what will happen once he gets in there. He is going in at L-3 and should be minimally invasive unless he sees something not right. I will be in ICU about 24-48 hours, then he will move me to the ward (after I have lifted upright) and then he will get me walking and so forth. Then he will release me after evrything looks good and we will have to stay in town a few more days to watch for any leaks and so forth. And Lord, willing if everything goes accordingly then we will start the drive back to NM.
Our friend made it here tonight from NM and he shared psalm 121 with us and we talked about the whole surgery and I shared some scriptures that I have been meditating on and then we prayed and he left for his hotel.
We will all head to the hospital around 11:00am and surgery is scheduled for 1:00pm. My daughter is going to stay there and wait for me to get out of sugery and know that I am ok and then they will come and update the site. I love you all and will miss you for a few days. Just know that I am thinking about you all and I love you.

Joleen, what an appropriate Psalm to think about to night. One of my favorites for sure. There is an open air chapel in our mountains,these words are etched there in the chapel as you look out the open front to the panoramic view of the mountains, in the middle of the view, a large cross. My favorite place.
I will put the psalm here for other s to read and know God is protecting you today.

Gale thanks for posting that! That psalm just takes my breath away and puts it all into perspective. I love the sound of the open air chapel. My chapel has usually been the open air, as well. Those mts sound so beautiful and then to have those words etched there, incredible!
Joleen, thank you for coming here to share more details! I am praying that your cord is not of the "special or rare" type. I pray there are no complications and that it turns out to be one of those easiest of surgeries and has the most miraculous amount of benefit and recovery. We are with you as we gather here in prayer for you, and you seem to have many many all over who are also praying for you, so you are in the best Hands!!
When they shut that OR room door and your loved one is left waiting back in the hall, it's the loneliest feeling on earth. But with this scripture, we know, we do not go alone!

Good morning everyone. Yes, Virginia, it is the loniest feeling but that is when I literally reached out my hand last time I am am positive I felt God take my hand and then I was alseep. I pray it is the same way today. I gave my life to Him this morning to do with what He will and that His will be done.
I miss you guys and will talk to you soon. My daughter will be updating the site for me and keeping you all posted. Just know that I love each and every one of you and I pray that my prayers for you guys the last week have been answered as well. Please keep safe, walk with God and let Him lead you as you make desicions this week. I will talk to you all very soon.

LOL, Sorry Virginia, I had to laugh because when you said that you all would be with me in my gown pocket I was thinking...oh good, they can make sure Dr.Oro does not have too much fun testing out each nerve to see what this one does, rofl.
