tom's lesson [wed. 21]

i think tonights lesson as been my favorite so far this year! it really got me thinking about everything from a perspective and i get what tom was trying to say!

if we're going to change the world, we're not goin to do it just sitting here in inman doing what people expect 'church-goers' around here to do: go to church on sunday listen to the preacher go home act different go to church on wed. and go home.

they don't expect us to do 'random acts of kindness' any other day of the week except for church days!

so if we want to act like christ did then we have to do the unexpected and go beyond the standard levels of what society expects us to do!

I get what your saying and what i was thinking about is a song by Casting Crowns "What This World Needs" and i think that when it says :

"What this world needs is for us to stop hiding behind our relevance
Blending in so well that people can't see the difference
And it's the difference that sets the world free."

that it is saying pretty much what tom was saying... we don't need to blend in because we have been blending in forever and that isn't getting the job done... we need to step outside the expected and really rock the foundation with the unexpected... i think that if we do that we will see great change.... and yea it doesn't have to or need to happen in just Inman but i think that inman is as great a place as any to get started... i think that the church looks to us as a youth to be doing the stuff that nobody else will do because they are just scared of the ridicule that they might incounter for doing it.... because of this i think that the youth should really be the ones to start this

"Revolution"

and im happy to be a part of something that will change the world...

i don't think that we have to leave school to start the revolution i think it starts inside everyone of us and grows untill well we can't contain it anymore and it just starts overflowing out of us so we really don't have to go anywhere to start the revolution because it all starts with us right here

yeah, but what i was saying, mister philisophical, was that i dont have school at the moment and have all this free time to do whatever God needs me to do, and i dont want to waste it, and theres not much revolutionizing (nice word huh?) to be done at home.. i mean literal home, not inman/campobello/landrum home, cuz theres pleanty to be doing there lol

but for real, lets get started and DO something!

i know what your saying justin... and thankx for the title ... i like that ...mister philisophical... it has a nice ring to it...

anywayz... im in on the revolution thing ... that's why i gave the Tour that name.... i agree that there is soo much we can do now that school isn't scuking away our time ... and lives... but where to start ... there is soo much bad stuff that we need to/can now fix that it is almost to me overwhelming and idk where or how to start for that matter other than what we have already started working on with the tour... i think that it will be a changing experience for the both of us and who ever else we can get to participate in it ... i mean we were given gifts by God himself individual gifts and i think that no one else is quite like us or ever will be the same as we are ... and that still amazes me that we are completely unique and that even if people like our songs... and cover them... (which would be wickedawsomenesstastic btw) that it won't be the same .... and thats what i don't get about bands becoming tribute bands.... you are saying yea this was a great band but everyone already knows that... sry bout the tribute band thing i was just remebering the beatles tribute band on the early show the other day

but there is so much to do and where to start idk
