Bill Maher
I decided that I really enjoy this comedian. We recorded this off tv this week, watched it this afternoon.
The Decider
It was obviously recorded before the election last year, in Boston. Very funny. All of the show is there in bits and pieces, I love the things he says about the pope's funeral and all the priests dressed up like Liberace. And the story of the gynaecologist who couldn't find his way.

Re: Bill Maher
I saw Religulous by Maher. Quite good. I liked how he drew the similarities of Christianity and all the other pre-Jesus stories. Talk about plagiarism!

Hilarious, in a scary way. It's hard to believe religion is still with us, as infectious as this plague is. I liked the guy Bill interviewed at the Vatican. He actually seemed normal and reasonable. I think Bill got a kick out of him too.

Re: Bill Maher
Of course we have to wait before we'll get it here.
I think he's the best of the last-night comedians on TV and we don't get his show here. We get Jay Leno and Jon Stewart etc, but not Bill Maher. All I've ever seen of him is on Larry King and YouTube.

Re: Bill Maher
Thank you I'd love to do that, the trouble is that our post is seriously unsafe. If anything that even looks like it might be worth money arrives in the post, the savages who work in the post office steal it. It's so bad that Amazon refuses to post items to South Africa.
But thanks so much for the thought.

Re: Bill Maher
That astronomer that works at the Vatican must have some influence over the Pope. Of course, the Pope will never disbelieve in God but at least he doesn't think that the Earth is 6000 years old and everything got here in 7 days. He seemes to be falling in line with other scientists that believe in God but don't dispute the facts. So maybe it was God that started the Big Bang - end of story.
