Animated Link Buttons

To have animated buttons for RB/CP/etc etc. I have an idea with my new layout to have something say:

A scroll that opens up to reveal RB.com or even have RB.com scroll across the button, anything like that. I am sure we can do it in Java, maybe, but I am so not sure about how it could work with CSS and the CLS. Even if it is possible, I am not entirely sure how to do it, but trial and error is how I have made it this far into board design, so why not ask this tough question. Or is this kind of thing still far beyond RBs technological reach?

Animated buttons are easily made with a gif animator program, and can be placed as a pure image in your navbar.

I suppose while I am on a roll, I have a sort of design oriented question, well it will benefit me a lot. LOL

I notice in many of your design topics that you use the scroll box embedded in your post to display code. How does one go about doing this? I help a lot of people with coding but it would be soooo much easier if I knew how to do this.

It is controlled by the <pre> tag I believe.

Try this in your CSS :

span.postlistpostbody pre{ font-family: serif; overflow:scroll;width:460px;background:#fff;margin:0 10px;padding:10px;}

Just adjust the parameters to your needs :)

Only question, and should be my last one for a while, I swear it emoticon

How can I edit the code, or what should it look like, to make it word wrap. My members really like it and it can be used for far more than just coding stuff since we have a couple of Writers who post HUGE stories. What I would like to do is make it so you only have to scroll down, and not to the side too. That can be frustrating.

Try change overflow:scroll to overflow:auto

CSS3 will have { word-wrap: break-word; }, and maybe it works in IE7
