 I Can't Believe I Remembered My Password!
Wow, it has been a LONG time.
Hey there Le, I wanted to drop by and say hello. A lot has happened since I had the chance to see you, but I am doing very well. In fact, I'm doing better than I have in a long time. I've met a wonderful girl (from Michigan, no less!) and we've been happily together for almost a year. It's been long distance for the most part, but we have had some "us" time together. In fact, I'll be going to see her in another month or so! So everything is remarkably peachy for me, for once.
I hope things are going well for you, too. I've been thinking about you the last few days and wanted to pop in to check on you. I see you are a "player" on Runboard now, so I certainly offer you my congratulations!

It's great to see you, Chris!!!  Maybe we can see each other face to face next month. Does your girlfriend live anywhere near the southwest corner of the mitten?
Yep, I'm a global admin now, and I'm sure you know what this means for the rare troll that happens along.  I mostly use my powers to help people with their boards though, which sometimes means checking their security settings, and other times fixing code gone bad. 
Things are going quite well for me too! I dug myself out of my financial hole, got cable for my internet, TV, and phone, and also got a cell phone, plus the raise I got a couple of months ago at my full-time job actually slightly more than covers the difference for all those services, over what I was paying for a landline and dialup.
My job is working in a small print shop. I was hired in to do finishing work and delivery... packaging orders, laminating, comb binding, collating, hand-folding, padding, etc., and someone else was doing the digital printing. Now I do both jobs, lol, and the two guys who run the presses sometimes help me with hand work when needed. It can be a challenge at times, especially since the guys can't always help me due to having their own jobs to keep up on, but I love a good challenge, as well as the diversity, which make the job interesting.
So what have you been up to? Still living in the boot state? Still doing Owari with Louis? Do tell!

Alas, she is on the other end of the state - about 200 miles from you, I think. Plus, this trip will be my "meet the parents" trip, so I'm sure it will be busy, busy, bsuy! But yes! One day, we will definitely set up a meeting! I've known you a long time, sister, so it would be quite cool.
I'm glad things are going so well for you. I sure remember the fun that can be had from torturing trolls. The job sounds fun, too. I'll probably be looking into getting something new sometime next year. I hope it is as potentially rewarding!
I'm doing pretty fine besides the personal situation. Still working at the same job, but that's mostly just a placeholder until things start to change up. OWARI still technically exists, though I haven't done an issue of it since 2005 and consider the fanzine ended. I blog pretty regularly, and still tinker with the "Return of Jetman" stuff. Oh, which has a new host. You can check out the site at http://www.returnofjetman.com. I couldn't have done it without you, you know.
And Lewis and I still collaborate from time to time. Egad, I have known him forever.

It's too bad we won't get to meet this time around. So close, and yet, so far. But hey, you should be spending as much quality time with your sweetie as you can; her parents will be taking enough of that one-on-one time away from you as it is. 
We should definitely try to meet someday, though.
Reading your mention of blogging, I found the one you currently post on. Is it really David's birthday tomorrow (Friday)? Maybe we need to pull out the davidbonk and celebrate. 
I got a kick out of the petty thief that took your mom's change. If it happened at work, maybe they needed money for the pop machine? I hope they stuck a dollar in her purse the next day. 
It looks like you have ideas for 3 stories and one of them in the works for Jetman. It's cool that you and Lewis are still doing that.
Sometimes my job is fun, other times stressful, and other times just plain tedious. Monday through Wednesday, almost all of my time was spent making copies of files for a lawyer. My boss helped on Monday by making 900 copies, a co-worker helped on Tuesday and Wednesday and made 3886 copies, and in those three days, I myself made 11029 copies in about 21(?) hours, then spent another hour or two shrink-wrapping copies of the contents of each folder, putting it all back in order, and getting 3 boxes full ready to ship off. It would have gone a lot quicker if there weren't so many staples, paper clips, wrinkled pages, tiny doctors' slips, and booklets, not to mention that most pages were one-sided and some were two-sided, so we had to stop and change the scan settings when we came to those as well. The files we had to work with were quite a mess, to say the least.
Lucky for me, tedious jobs like that don't come along every week. But strangely enough, Monday went by pretty fast, even though I worked 9 hours that day.
Ah yes, torturing trolls is one of my specialties. It's too bad I can't make a living at being a global message board administrator, because it lets me use a range of my specialized skills.
Well, I promised myself I would go to bed "on time" tonight, because I was a zombie all day today and don't want to poop out before my weekend even begins tomorrow evening. Sweet dreams, Chris, and keep me posted!
